Lindenhurst is an incorporated village in the Town of Babylon, on Long Island's South Shore. It reaches south to the Great South Bay, with Copiague to the west, West Babylon to the east, and North Lindenhurst and North Amityville to the north.

The village center sits along Wellwood Avenue and Hoffman Avenue, around the Lindenhurst station, and Wellwood Avenue runs south from there to Montauk Highway. Montauk Highway is lined with businesses through the village, and marinas sit along its south side, toward the bay. Below it, the streets run down to the Great South Bay.

Lindenhurst's housing includes capes, ranches, high ranches, and colonials on the streets north of Montauk Highway, and homes toward the bay to the south, some with water views or frontage.
